Gadget's set up is very nice, but it is not a 22re.

haven't posted anything really pertinent in here in a while....but...i have time right now,so here goes....

took the truck 4wheeling last saturday....much harder on the truck than i was led to believe by reading all the stuff about the park ....basically thought it was gonna be some dirt roads, puddles and some rocks if you wanted to crawl up them.......i was really wrong......turned out it was really all rocks with some dirt and water , when there was water, it was only hiding more rocks.....really was harsh and near as i can tell i made it out after 4 hours fairly unscathed except for a busted exhaust and scratches and maybe it pulls to the left a little now and the right when i put on the brakes....other than that it's OK.

pics of the day are at the link listed a few posts up.

was great to meet up with XXXTREME somewhere other than my garage and finally meet LUMPY and shake the hand of the guy that was with me from the beginning.

anyway......ironic as it is, i made it from 4heeling kinda OK, but today, in preparation of installing a pool, was removing the huuuuuge swingset thingy and had a little accident.

this seemed like a good idea.......

but then some stuff fell on the truck and did this.....

but disassembled it looked like this......

no big deal.......would have been manly if it happened 4 wheeling but.....

and a pic of my fix to the exhaust tonight....probably gonna get it welded up in 2 days

but this pic is mostly for LUMPY since not only did he piece me back ogether but he also provided some beverages for when i arrived home....so for a 2nd time i put the IRON CITY to work for me

and for the hell of it, i put this on for a picture......i found this when i was cleaning the garage...forgot i had it....

and my new favorite pic courtesy of LUMPY (as his vehicle....Tim's jeep since his had a slight problem)...shows all the vehicles from the red one (the guide), zeb, xxtreme, joecan, yotaluver and then me (with joe as my co-pilot)

OK....that's it for tonight.....c-yas

well booty fab repair in effect again.....too cheap to get it welded and too dumb to weld it myself (though i have no means to do so anyways)......

pipe between converter and muffler fell apart again......IRON CITY can finally gave in....so i've upgraded to a soup can with a beer can gasket....hehehehe

You know, you can get exhaust pieces from O'Reilly or AutoZone that would actually fix that just fine and would hold for a long time. Not that the soup can idea'r doesn't have merit. It's souped up.........homiestyle!

**rim shot**

thanks THOOK.....

more inconvenient than anything.......took a whole20 minutes to put back together......actually need strapping to hold up he muffler to relieve that pipe from doing all the work.....really poor installation job.(not by me).........

paying attention to doing my son's engine right now, so, like i said, that(my exhaust) is more inconvenient than anything.

I just had to have a reason to make a corny, ingloriously sarcastic comment. The parts store tip was still genuine in nature, though.

hiya.

has been a while since i popped the hood on my truck, so today i figured i would give a look-see and see how everything looks.

my gloating about having a/c again was kinda short lived as of a few weeks ago a massive squeal occurred when i turned it on.....figured the belt had loosened or the compressor seized, checked it out and the belt is really loose, so that's on the "nice-to-do" list.

otherwise all is well....kinda embarrassed to say it , but (and i know better) i have been running plain water in the cooling system since the initial start-up. today was the day that i was gong to put my toyota RED in, so i drained my water (filled to the top by the way) and then realized i had forgotten about distilled water. so i just filled it back up with regular water and have added distilled water to my shopping list.

i am about 200 miles shy of 3,000 miles since i turned the key. can't really be any happier with it....and myself as well for doing it. with the negativity that has absolutely overwhelmed and ruled my world in the last few weeks, it certainly is nice to have my truck be a reliable vehicle.

enough of that now.

and thought i'd post a pic i took just a few minutes ago. aside from some dust and some change in the original bright red color, she looks the same.

I'm glad to hear your truck is running well. Hurry up & get that Toyota Red coolant in there. The AC belt is an easy fix.

never use it...really never did. only time it's really worth it is when it's a summer rainstorm when it's 80 degrees out and the windows are rolled up and fogging up.

so with 2 windows, a sliding rear window and a sunroof, i don't really need it anyway.
