true.....there is absolutely NOTHING.....repeat NOTHING around here. There are no state areas allowing off roading. there is an off road park south of us but basically is still in it's beginning stages as far as i have read. there is one supposedly in the works about an hour away from me, versus hour and a half where this Rausch place is. if you go to the site www.rauschcreekoffroadpark.org it's pretty cool and has sanctioned rock crawler competitions. this is my 1st time doing anything like this.

You will have fun. Evans was my first time really giving my little stock rig a go at it. You'll do fine. That map looks like lots to do. Hit up a couple green trails and go from there. Make sure that camera is charged up!

Ya I'm sure we'll pull him around nicely!!! I think I'll just smack the rear quarter of that shiny red pickup so we can get the first dent out of the way so there is no reason to worry!!!

went 4wheeling many times before, just nothing organized. beat my truck good a few times and not interested in doing that part ever again.
around here, everything is "off limits, no trespassing".....but we have miles and miles of old mine property that we used to ........wander.....into.
the hardest i ever wheeled was several years ago as a rescue / recovery operation, had my truck and a few other trucks loaded with equipment (jaws of life, generators, medical equipment...etc) to the scene of where 6 people in a jeep accidentally drove on top of a frozen pond that was snow covered and looked like a field and 5 drowned.
i've had quite the life thus far.......but this will be the 1st time i've done anything organized like this. i can't wait.
