I'm pretty sure you had it right to begin with
that's how mine were too, both before and afer the 1" diff drop
I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make though...

LOL, sorry
but, either the threads on those bolts are shot and are not allowing you to tighten them down all the way, or those bushings are shot and squished, becuase there definately shouldnt be a gap like that between that lower washer/plate and the bushing

That is really strange, 92. Must be a shredded thread, right? What I mean is, like bleeder said, " maybe it's not allowing you to snug it up all the way?" ...the NUT I mean.
I guess you're Profile ID pic is right on time at the moment, eh? "O-CRAP", ...I must have said that 400 times in the last few weeks, haha. Pulling for you, 92, just BREATHEEEEEEEE!

and with these next pics, i say GOOD DAY to you sir Reed Valve!!!
Pointing at the hose i took off to get more wiggle room. cannot, i repeat, cannot get the Reed valve back on it's 2 bolts.......i think i will be OK, it weighs less than a pound and will be supported front and back by other stuff, so i think i will be alright.

I'm not gonna say to get your skinny as_ up here and help me. Nope, not gonna say it.
as far as the quitter part.......well what the hell else should i do. i've pryed every which way....i am missing my millimeters as you can see by the pic of the tube bolted in......the plus / minus of leaving it unbolted is that, yes, it should be and is meant to be bolted in but i cannot accomplish that no matter how hard i pry against the brake lines , a/c lines or fuel filter.....get my drift? it is held in place from the front and the back and is no more moveable than anything else bolted down.
