If you want I'll give you mine so you can have 2 sets you don't know what to do with just in case 1 gets misplaced.

I never understood why toyota riveted that baffle on anyway with a wearable gasket underneath of it.

I've read that some valve covers (early ones, I think) used screws instead of rivets. Maybe they also had a different shape gasket.

oh hey....i'm back.

question (before i button too many things up)

i'm a little concerned about the condition of the rubber thingy that the fuel injectors sit in where they meet the head.......1 was split, the rest were OK, but I think this is something i should take care of now.

what are those things called??? seats???

i think i will drop gerone an email and axe him that question too.....that and maybe get2 crush washers for the supply line at the front of the fuel rail....not really too, too worried about that as it did seal up well.

Dude, when was the last time they were rebuilt? I RECOMMEND witchhunter.com for rebuild. They'll clean and flow match the injectors and get them back within a week. I would do it. Send them your cold start injector too!

Good call on the cold start injector! I never thought of sending them that...

An important note, the 'bushings' or 'spacers' that sit at the bottom most part of the injector, you need to remove them before sending your injectors off. Witchunter will replace your gaskets and top rubber spacers, but not the bottom ones.

haha i know! My #1 injector was a little scary looking! I was surprised I didn't notice it, but my whole engine was covered in grime so it was hard to spot off the bat....

i tossed that thought around a bit too.....i think i remember it being something like $79 or something like that.

see, it always purred like a kitten....so i never really seriously considered any issue with fuel delivery.....i really wanted this thing running by this weekend...silently, that has been my goal.

funny thing...i had notice injectors 1,2,3 had come out with that ''bushing" still attached, but #4 remained in....so i just pressed #4 in and pulled it out again, and out came the bushing.....but hey are all so dry and hard and like i said, 1 of them is cracked.

I didnt think about it either till I noticed wet spots. Heck, after I got my injectors back I was surprised to see that they really werent that bad. Just really needed seals! I believe it's $19 per injector to clean or $75 for a new one...

I know you dude. I know you want to get it buttoned up, but you would want the peace of mind that comes with that flow sheet that witchhunter will send you back with your injectors. You haven't cut any corners (well, except pulling the motor out ), nows not the time to start. Do it!
