92 4Runner 3.0 VZE Hose Question
Hello,
I am new to Yota Tech and was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a coolant leak. It could be one of two hoses. The coolant is dripping down the engine and leaking off of the bottom of the oil pan. The engine was just rebuilt and I am positive that the guy that did it kind of rushed the last part and didn't double check the hose clamps. I also bought new hose clamps that will be more secure than the ones it has. I want to replace the hoses since I have to take the intake off to get to them. I was wondering if anyone knows the correct name of these hoses? I have attached an image. I appreciate any help anyone can give me.
Thank you for your help
Heather

I think those are heater core supply and return lines. Sometimes the tubes that run through the firewall end up getting somewhat flattened out on the ends. Being brass, (or copper or whatever) they are quite soft. When that happens, the hose doesn't want to seal.
Sometimes, it's possible to carefully bend the tubes back to round. This can be tricky, since they can tear if it was creased too sharply.
The hoses may also be the culprit, if they are getting very dry and stiff.
Good luck, and welcome to YT!
