91 V6 4runner has no power?

Let me rephrase that though before you get too excited. Adjusting the valves means taking the air chamber off and meticulously removing the shims, small metal disks. Then you have to put in the correct shims which are special order part from a dealer (unless they have them on hand). It's a multi-day project but worth your time if you are keeping the truck around for a while. Not pricey though, can be done for about $100 or so.
Search the forums for "valve adjustment" and you'll see. But let's wait and see what the compression check shows first.

Yeah thanks fer bustin my happy bubble! LOL! I wish the hadda left um like they used too where ya just needed a feeler guage, a screwdriver, and a 12 mm wrench to adjust um! But thanks for clearin that up, this is probably why my book dosent say anything about it! I'll do the compression check and decide from there! I'll also try to keep younz apprised of the progress!
