91 Pickup 22re Running Rough Idles perfect
Recently purchased this 91 pickup with the 22re from a guy at work. It wouldn't idle and ran rough sometimes stalling in traffic. He changed the distributor cap and wires (new) throttle body/TPS (new) AC idle up valve (used on Ebay, unavailable new?) And couldn't find the problem. I picked it up and thought to hell with all the vacuum lines and so I deleted the egr and it developed a surging idle but ran a bit better. I rebuilt injectors and they're running good, replaced spark plugs, cleaned intake manifold that was caked in carbon, and changed oil. She idles perfect! However it cuts out and sputters when accelerating under a load, specifically when it hits 3rd gear. Ive seen my issue in other threads but mine has the egr delete. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Since this photo all vacuum ports were capped properly.

With some other vehicles, I've found faltering-under-load was due to an ignition issue. That being said, it can also be fuel flow issues.
I would confirm:
- fuel filter is clean
- spark looks "hot"

If you didn't do it already, The one big hose looping around to the manifold is completely bypassing your throttle blade. Not sure if you capped that one or not.
