91 4Runner: Bad Ground/tail, license plate, driving, and dash lights out
I have a 91 4Runner and as of a few days ago the the taillights, license plate, driving, and dash lights won't turn on. I have changed the fuse in the fuse box, but the second I turn the lights on the fuse blows. My turn signals and headlights still work normally as does my clock and radio. Some people have told me that I could have a bad ground on the circuit. Any help fixing this problem would be great. I got pulled over the other night and thankfully the cop was cool and let me go, with shorter days I need to get this fixed ASAP.

A "bad" ground would just make them not work (but not all those you listed as some have different grounds). A short circuit will blow the fuse.
So, you are looking for a pinched wire or something like that. Does the rig have any body damage? Does it have a trailer hitch with wiring? Those are the first places to look.

I do have it wired for a trailer hitch which was done almost 2 years ago. I can't think that could be it as nothing has happened it that area. However I will give that a look today. Thanks
