I just ordered a Marlin e-locker motor guard for it and I don't think I'll get the chance to hook up the wiring harness today, but hopefully soon!

Oh and one question, do you have to take the third out of the axle to weld on diff armor like this?

It'd be nice to not have to take everything apart lol and I should've though about it before I put it all together

I think you could if you do it really really slowly. As in weld then let it cool an hour and have about five of those rotations and evenly divide the welding up between those times.

Ok thanks! You think it'd mess up the gears and stuff otherwise? Have you ever welded on an axle before?

Man that turtle makes me happy. I LOVE that sticker, if I didn't hate needles I'd have it on me somewhere in ink.

I know! It was a little pricey, but I had to have one haha 12voltguy makes some sweet stuff!! It was an easy hook up, all the wires were labeled and color coded so it was just a matching game to hook it up to the diff

I know man, I can't wait to get out and test it out tomorrow! I just gotta hook up my wiring harness which should only take like an hour or so...oh and put the motor guard on, I got side tracked today and ended up puttin the front third in instead lol seemed a little more important but I did the change a CV quick on the trail trick with the bolts so I can swap out the CV's I got from you and use my current ones as trail spares when I get the chance as well

Swappin the front diffs

Changed out the stock bolts for some 12x1.75x30 bolts to be able to quickly change a cv on the trail

good job man! i'm jealous of the e-locker. should paint your 3rd to match the freshly painted axle. also, too late now, but should have had the shop weld on some new shock mounts (for U-bolt flip) while they had it, especially if you're goin' down trails like fordyce. are those new CV bolts grade 8? they look like a regular grade bolt. i'd keep your stock ones around just in case - take a grinder to the ridges and they become bolts instead of studs. all us sac-vicinity YT'ers need to plan a trip for the summer!

Make sure you pull that non add shaft off your old diff and put it on the new one. It's a little extra work but worth it. The add shaft is less beefy than the non add. Trust me take it apart and see...
