89'-95' Toyota Pickup Build Questions

Toyota pickup 89'-95' 2WD

Questions:

1.
Is there an upper control arm (UCA) on the market that will increase wheel travel?

2.
I'm a little confused about wheels. I know I need a 5x4.5 lug pattern, but I do not know about center bore diameter, backspacing, and the rest. If someone could fill me in as to what the best wheel is for 31x10.5xR15 tires, I'd appreciate it.

I like the pre runner look, and this truck will be a single cab 2 wheel drive vehicle.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Gregg leaverton

Is there anything wrong with your current wheels? If not, I'd just throw bigger tires on them and call it a day.

If no one can or will answer my question about rims/tires

I'm open to other suggestions about what to do with the Toyota pickup, or things that I should go over. I'm pretty firm on my decision to get the Toyota pickup now, I know it's been a bit of a back and forth between it, and a Baja bug and other vehicles. Last was a DRZ400, something that gets 11+ inches of travel out of the box stock and over 50mpg ect... (That idea was a bit hard to let go of)

But now I'm firm on the Toyota pickup and will be hopefully making my purchase soon. Can't wait to go camping

Advice? Pointers? Suggestions? - should I eBay brand linex my entire truck? Primer grey? -- any advice on paint? Suspension?

Should I buy the spark plugs wires and all that or drive it tell the engine breaks and then fix everything that's then easier to get to??

Is it better to get a vehicle with 200k Miles or 220k Miles with a rebuilt engine?

Thanks

I'd like bigger wheels/tires for looks and ground clearance

Bigger wheels have no effect on ground clearance, but if you want them for looks then go ahead. All you need is you standard 5x4.5 as far as I know. Nothing special needed. For 31s I recommend at least 4" backspacing. 3.75 would be good for when you lift.

Bigger wheels have no effect on ground clearance? Did I mean tires?

The differential sits low, adding bigger tires sits it up higher.

I don't understand why the backspacing needs to change for when there's a lift?

Bigger tires effect ground clearance, wheels do not. Lift typically means more suspension travel, especially with solid rear axles. At full bump, a smaller backspacing w(3.75"k) the tires from rubbing the inner fender by pushing the wheels farther out, especially turning at bump. If you're doing a prerunner build, the fiberglass fenders and bedsides should have adequate space to accommodate the backspacing.

No backspacing is required for just larger tires ? (not a long travel Build)

I mean you say you need backspacing for a lift, is this just for a larger tire lift or a long travel lift?
