88 REC wire loom plug -black

Hello,
I'm trying to get my 88 4wd back on its feet. I have put the top end back together with the head and upper fuelie plenum in place. (I have a factory manual and a Haynes manual.) There is a black T shaped electrical plug with two electrical connections and a clip at the bottom that I'm not finding a mate for. Also, there's a small white connection (by itself) over near the extreme right side of the loom where the OBDI connection plugs up. It juts out of the wire loom all by itself. Can anyone help identify these two electrical connections? I've been through both books and I'm not surrounded by old school Toyota guys here. My truck is a no A/C, power steering only truck with no air pump. No CA emission here. No turbo. Just fuelie and 4wd.
Please respond asap as I'm in the process of moving. Time is short. Thank you in advance.

Thanks Dillon

I'm not sure anyone can identify a connector like that.

But there are people with an '88 EWD, so if you give the color of the wires (almost always a base color with a stripe, so a ground wire is commonly Black-White) someone might be able to look it up. If that's not enough, sometimes the appearance of the connector helps a little; for that you need a photograph. (A photograph won't help with the colors, though. Believe me.)

Well the blue one looks like the water temp on the intake manifold. Let me check my pics for the other one .

Ok the black one looks like it goes to the vacuum switch on top of the valve cover Right near the "A" in
Toyota.
I took a lot of pics before I took mine apart.

Leak question? I have a small seaping leak on the passenger side right below where the pipe comes into the back of the timing cover. the next bolt down on the left seems to be seaping at the mating surface. I've had this truck for over 14 yrs and I enjoy it a lot. It's not my first motor rebuild. (I'm going back to inspect the oil to make sure I don't have a leak. I've torqued the cover in place after applying the gasket and using rtv around the water hole.) If I'm only leaking from the outside slightly, I'm hoping I don't have to pull the cover off again. Anyone know of a better sealer than rtv to stop seaping water and antifreeze? See picture.

I don't know where the black ones goes. I only see the one on my truck.. And I used Ultra gray. I haven't filled it back up yet so I don't know how it will work out.

The wire colors look the same. Is it possible you have one of the extra ones connected to the top vsv? like the air conditioning. I think the AC just hangs if you don't have a AC unit.

88 REC wire loom ID

OBMI - looks like you found the rogue connector. I made peace with my leak as I removed the timing cover and pulled out the paper gasket in favor of RTV on both sides. I had a slight leak to one of the lines on the back of the timing cover, but I cleaned up the surfaced and resealed it with Permatex black and life is good again.

Thanks for the prompt responses. You guys are great.

Dillon
