I just bought my third 4Runner and I upgraded from a 2000 SR5 to a 1988 SR5. The 88 that I found is in great mechanical shape and the interior is amazing. The only problem is the rust. I can find fenders and tailgates for cheap no problem but for some reason I can't find quarter panels anywhere. They have them at toyotaworld.com but they want $760 each. And toyotafiberglass.com has them for $275 which is a pretty great deal for brand new fiberglass panels but I can find fenders for $50 and tailgates for $120. I don't know why I can't find quarter panels for cheaper than $275. None of the salvage yards in Minnesota have any and I don't know where else to look. Anybody have any suggestions?

 

Same situation im in, its not worth it to just find rear quaters. Best off it to get fiberglass ones, direct fit, never have to worry about rust...

 

Corey's at toyotafiberglass are your best bet. You're not spending $275 per panel, you're investing it. I have a set on the front of my 91 and I love the fact that I never, ever need to replace them again.
