First post here guys just got an 87 xtra cab and it has a nissan bench seat in it and won't slide up or back and covers some of the shifter(automatic trans) what kind of seat can I put in that will bolt right in and will have some adjustment?

 

Not a direct bolt in but with a drill, cutting disk, and some spacers, seats out of the 3rd generation 4Runner will fit in without much work an feel comfortable. Just installed a set in my 85 yesterday. I have a 3rd gen runner as well and was one of the reasons I went with them in my extra cab.

 

Do you want bench seats or bucket seats? If you want a direct fit why not just replace it with the seats that the truck originally came with (whether it was bench or bucket). If you want newer, more comfortable seats, it shouldn't be that hard to drill some new holes to get the seats to bolt in.

 

of course that would be the better option I'm just asking in case I can't find what originally went in it having a hard time finding seats locally anyway

 

found some bucket seats out of an 87 4runner the guy said he would sell the seats and the console for 50$ and they are in pretty good shape so I lucked up here
