87 Base Model gauge cluster conversion to SR5 Cluster questions

got a 87 toyota pickup base model, so I bought a SR5 instrument cluster, got the right oil pressure sender too. I got oil pressure, volt meter, water temp, fuel gauge, all the lights work but no tach am I missing a connection some where, the guy I bought it from, say it worked before he pulled it, he is honest have bought parts from him before so I know he didn't screw me, I want a tach, a aftermarket tach is either in the way or it blocks your view,so thats why I bought the SR5 cluster to get a tach so is the some thing I'm missing
