86 truck will turn over but will not start

My truck will turn over but will not start. Inside lights will not work. Checked all inside fuses they are good. All outside fuses are good except the 80amp I tired to pull out but broke it. Tired to get the fuse out but really messed the thing up. Now all I have is 2 prongs sticking out. I can bridge them and the lights come on but truck still want start any help please

I think the 80 amp is the main fuse. And its bolted in. Was it having trouble starting before you pulled the fuse?

Duh! The fuse is bolted in, here's some info on removing it.

Bridging those terminals will make no difference in starting. Do you think your diddly piece of wire will carry 80amps?

To start (and run) you need fuel, air, and spark. That's all. I'd start with the spark; get a regular $20 timing light (you need it anyway) and put the inductive pickup on each spark wire. Flash means the plug is firing. If not, work your back up to the coil to the igniter.

The easiest way to check for fuel is a) disconnect the fuel return line from the Fuel Pressure regulator, get it into a reasonable sized (qt or bigger) container so you don't splash it all over the place, b) force the fuel pump to run (with key-on) by jumpering B+ to FP in the diagnostic connector.

To get the 80 amp fuse assembly out pry the tab toward the firewall and push the assembly toward the bottom. The bolts that hold the 80 amp fuse in are tight!!! Use a wrench or socket to get the bolts out. The 80 amp fuse is easily found at any parts store.

Copied from my thread below
All of the other fuses lift up and out. The 80 Amp you have to pry this tab to the firewall and push out the bottom.
