86 4Runner Roof Rack

I struggled a bit with drilling holes in the body of my Runner, but decided this was better than mounting to the roof. I used 1.25 OD tubing with .0625 wall thickness. It's strong enough to pack a couple of deer, an elk in quarters. the bolts are 3/8. I tested it with 180 pounds (me) with hardly any deflection. There are identical plates on the inside of the body, as what's bolted on the outside. The Curt rack has the optional extension, and works great in this application.
