The radiator overflow has the right amount of fluid in it. You just have to look very carefully to see it, at it's age. Mine is almost exactly the same. I always bounce the corner right there , THEN look for fluid. Easier to see when it's moving. Our eyes and brains are evolved to detect motion a lot easier than still objects.
Other than that, yeah, what's with the clutch master fluid level...

This 4r turbo was last sold on BaT in May of this year for $21.5k.(+5% buyer’s fee) and once in 2020. Let’s see what it can do this time

Man,if you look semi close that one is in rough shape. Body panels don’t fit well, like fenders to door, so probably a poor quality aftermarket fender. The subpar body work and paint didn’t help.
I like how there’s more pictures of the radio than the underside.
But it does have shiny blue spark plug wires.

Not BAT but this place I came across tooling around one night, no auctions so sale prices, they have a couple Toyotas that are pretty cool amongst some other killer square body chevys etc.

I looked at the photos and made some conclusions, then saw Wallytoo’s post on BaT. Nicely worded my impression.
This 4Runner is clearly a project vehicle. And that’s ok, assuming you buy right. But paying top dollar for something that’s going to require additional heavy investment makes me wonder about the sanity of BaT bidders.

Sure, here you have some:
I went to see these two trucks, the same person have them, he sells used cars, but I was told he is a collector who wants to downsize his collection.

The red one (JT4RN67D6H5079256) has the VIN tags over sprayed, same with the technical info stickers under the hood. Bubbles the size of my fist, paint runs, bondo cracks, some missing parts like the shelf behind the seats, cracked dash, etc. The very bad paint job made me doubt about the engine rebuild the PO did, 3,500 miles ago, before he sold it in BAT. Owner asks U$S 17500.
The blue one now (JT4RN67D8G0006143). It has a recent low quality paint job, it already has bubbles, and it looks like they did not clean the bottom of the quarter panels and they painted over the dirt. They also applied that infamous black paint underneath to cover rust : muffler, exhaust pipes, cat, suspension parts, front and rear, etc The frame inside looked very rusted, they could not cover that apparently. They put new 85 decals in this 86 truck with IFS and 22R engine, with 60000 miles on it. .
I touched the engine when I arrived, it was hot, but to my surprise the radiator was cold, I removed the cap and it was empty, same with the reservoir, I went under the truck and I opened the drain cock and nothing, dry. I decided to check the oil level, the dipstick did not show any sign of oil, I unscrew the oil filter to see if something leaks, again nothing... and the owner does not know what happened, but he, the seller and a mechanic from the same place said to me "that is not a problem", "it is a Toyota", "it sounds good". They were driving around with the engine in those conditions since... nobody knows. The owner asks U$S 23000 for it.
Another thing, I would like to say thank you to wallytoo, old87yota and RAD4Runner for their help in my search for a truck.

I find most of the 4Runners on BaT borderline fraud.
It’s a sad statement when I have more confidence in a Craigslist listing.

I believe most people think the best 4Rs and trucks are in BAT and prices go higher there, besides that buyers can not see them in person (if they do not live around) before the purchase. Make it easier for dishonest sellers.

Here’s an ‘89 4runner. I always liked this color. High miles, not likely to set any new records in my opinion.
