Thats more than the downpayment on my house..
I hope they enjoy it. Maybe someone should start making "bought not built" bumper stickers

My buddy sent me this facebook marketplace ad a little while ago. Looking to trade for a land cruiser.
There were some pretty good offers in the comments, but I think they would be crazy to not put it up on BAT.

Here’s a red one. Seller doesn’t have much of an eye for details.

Wow, that is nice! I wish mine looked like that. There’s lots of goo and original undercoat but thankfully no rust.

Mine was coated in layers of engine oil! Most likely years of front crank seals failing😃 It took a lot of work to clean. I even connected my 3000 psi pressure washer to our tankless heater and cranked it to 167 degrees.
I recently rebuilt both diffs out of Covid boredom. I used that as incentive to completely pull the rear axle housing and repaint. Often when I’ve rebuilt a component I’ve ordered new nuts and bolts. Toyota stop using yellow chromate awhile back, so the new ones have the clear coating. When I go to pick-a-part I cruise the toyota section and grab all the clean yellow bolts I can get.

I was THIS close to buying Eastwood’s paint and shooting it with my spray gun. But than I saw that Eastwood also sold VHT.
So I got VHT Chassis and Rollbar paint in satin black. I did a test run and thought the sheen came pretty close to what Toyota had done.
When I prepped the diffs and housing I neutralized and oxidation on bare metal and lightly sanded. I didn’t strip any Toyota paint that was good. I figured better to leave and paint over. I did three coats on each diff and the axle housing.

Here’s the next 4runner. Low miles, paint a little cooked, missing a couple minor parts but pretty good otherwise.
