Take an 80s xtra cab with almost 300k miles on the clock, paint it black, leave the engine bay with the original color, add some unaccurate BTTF paraphernalia/ornaments, don't worry about the broken and missing parts, ask as much as you want for it...

$18,888 and it didn't meet the reserve, that offer was very generous for that truck in that shape:

I would have preferred the vehicle’s exterior to match the engine bay. I probably would have pulled the lift and put tires a bit closer to stock. My 4Runner had those type of spacers at the rear springs. The parking brake cable rubbed on them and didn’t let the parking brake completely disengage.
Glad to see they spray painted the frame. 😜😜👎🏼

Do people still get excited over big light bars with KC lights? I thought that fashion statement was long gone.

I think thats just a Back to the Future thing. Theres a couple people building kind of 80s period correct vehicles but not many going for this look.

I love Celicas as much as the next guy...but not as much as whoever is bidding $32k on this 1976 bicentennial edition! 😁
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1976-toyota-celica-4/

Could be the nicest one in the country and those later GTS/Supra rims look great!

I forgot about the old ESP system Toyota used for awhile.
I Really liked the Celica, but preferred the RA6. That is a nice RA29, at least by the photos.

Here’s a spotless 1986 Land Cruiser. I think it’s a great looking truck and love those “turbo” seats.
But being diesel and right hand drive, i am totally turned off by that. I see more JDM RHD cars being imported, but I have to think who wants to drive around on the passenger side of the car in USA? What do you guys think about RHD? Would you buy one?
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...nd-cruiser-16/

I would like it more if the top came off, it burned gas and was LHD.

no. not that these are made for two-lane road passing, but try it here in the states with a RHD. you can't see the oncoming traffic when you pull out near/on the yellow line; instead, you are nearly entirely into the oncoming lane before you can see what's coming (unless your passenger is shrieking because there's a semi about to plow into you).

as an off-road rig, no issues with RHD.

You won't be passing anything but a tractor or horse and buggy in a 2L-T. Given the choice LHD is preferred for convience but I think the discounted price on RHD for that small inconvience far outweighs it. The 80's-90's vehicles are so narrow it isn't much of an issue. I have a RHD hilux and you can lean over slightly and you have the passengers vision when you need to pass which is almost never.

If the difference was a few grand there is no point to RHD other than to be different but usually it is 50% premium for the equivalent. $20k rhd vehicle vs $30k lhd. Or for the same money a vehicle with 100,000 miles vs 250,000.

what a rusted pile. Money should have been spent elsewhere other than a lift kit, imho.

That one is grim. Judging by the low bids it seems like BaT shoppers are finally figuring a few things out.
By the extensive undercarriage rust you can only wonder what the new paint is hiding
