4Runner chop chop chop

Nothing I guess? I haven't had any problems with drainage, and the bulkhead is just about watertight. It will be completely watertight after about 3 coats of bedliner.
I really wanted to do a roll down window, but it would hit the wheel wells. It would have been a lot more work to make it (quickly) removable and watertight, so it's just gonna stay in there mostly.
I can get it out, but there's 8 bolts in the way. Not to mention I plan on putting a crap ton of silicon around the lower seal to keep everything nice and dry. Maybe during the summers I'll take it and out and put it back in the fall.
Most trucks today don't have removable back windows anyways...

nice work. that looks awesome ive always liked the look of a chopped runner. since you removed those running boards, you should remove the lower valance on the front bumper to. it looks better like that IMO. so are you planning on herculinin teh whole thing?

I didn't do it because I think the one piece window is much cleaner looking, and because buying another window would have been more expensive.

he is a horror story for you all. i was driving around one day and during my travels i saw what i thought was like an 88 pickup and it was for sale so i pulled in and asked the guy about it and he said it was an 89, so useing my vast knowlage of toyotas i laughed and said "thats no 89, the pick up changed styls in 89 only the 4runner kept it and that is not a 4runner". to my dismay the person he bought this poor yota off of decided to completely strip a 89 4runner from the cab back and silicon in a hacked up rear cab form a pickup. it was awful and he wanted 1400 for it. i wanted to save it but i just couldnt. its still sitting in this mans from yard begging to be put out of its misery.

This makes me wanna buy a 4runner and chop the rear. I think I would keep it open though and just run a bikini top. I have a single cab pickup for my DD but I would really like to have more seats especially in the summer.

And for all those haters who say this never gets wheeled....
Check out that flex. I also went to Bull Park last week. And took off the running boards. It looks MUCH better.
For all the Bondo haters, got plenty of flex/bottoming out going, nothing cracked, save one spot that I expected to crack. It was just there to provide some temporary sealing.
great work though
