You can afford to seize a cam to the head? An aftermarket head set is $100? Seizing a distributor in the head sucks also.

im so happy my truck is running great and strong, and GOD DAMN it feels so much more powerfull.very big difference trust me,i had a burned exaust valve, allot of carbon buildup everywere,1 injector was constantly driping, the others were SO dirty, and allot of other crap. i finally finished everything up ill post pics of the chief pipe mod tomorow, thats my truck right there. its making a damn freaking noise cause its open headers right now. but tomorow at 6:30 i finish exaust and weld all the rest. and by the way my truck gauges are working perfectly,no bug watsever, not even one single code from ecu,flawless.. and guys if you check the patern of an head youll see that they were made in the exact same model left and right is the SAME ,exept for distributor hole that is retaped after to the perfect fit, witch i did it fits EXACTLY like the other one,as for the power stering braket ,ha,it does not even need washer, its only 1 cm off and the belt does not even make noise,nothin.. works perfect. so next time somebody will come up at you and tell you it does not work well tell them cheif was there and he DID IT. end of story.

You are not listening, yes the castings are the same. The cam caps are line bored and specific to each head, when you switch them it is like getting them in the wrong order, the bore diameters are no longer straight. They will eventually scor the cam and possibly seize the cam. Also the other head is not line honed for the distributor shaft and it could sieze, not to mention the oiling hole for the distributor shaft is not there.

But hey, i've only seen 2 guys in the shop do this and the trucks did make it a month or so before they crapped out. I hope your luck is better.

the oiling hole for dist IS THERE ,trust me,i even cleaned it when i retaped the hole . as for the cams well FIRST; the cams are not mismatch the left one is STILL left and right is still RIGHT, same for the cam caps ,and in order,OK, iknow that it does not make a difference cause the seats in the heads are diff from left to right buti run mobile one syntech 10w30 all year ,i dont think seizing is ever gonna come.

He has a bracket lift that will allow for more driveshaft clearance. I think on you truck/4runner it would be too tight.

You are going to melt/burn your floor. I have done the same mod https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f116/more-3vz-e-exhaust-questions-90037/ and added a heat shield and header wrap, and my floor still gets hot.

alright so heres the final product ,and god damn ithe pipe was a pain in the ass seriously. well if your good at welding its not that bad. ok so i added some precision gauges cause my oil pressure sensor was working one day than not working the other.so i choosed to put oil pressure ,voltage, and water temp ,since they came togherter, for 40 bux.they work great my temp seems to be 190 F it never goes over ,oil pressure reading is great ,and it was not that complicated to put in,anyway .

as for the chief pipe mod ,well i made some modifications to it since people here told me this and that,i should care about my floor burning and other stuff so i remade it for last.heres the pics of the system starting by the front to back: this is of the floor shield i made, great stuff there ,last day i was stuck on the bridge, getting to montreal and it was burnin hot outside and my floor stayed to ambient temp.and its flame proof ,and i screewed it trew my floor ,it wont move trust me!!
