3vze Rough Idle!
I have a 90 runner with the v6. It idles rough and is on a new set of plugs and injectors. The ignition coil was also replaced as an attempt to solve the problem. The shaking that occurs clears once you’re on the move out of the 500-800 rev range. It’s got decent compression but all the plugs are fouled. When disconnecting wires, you get no change from cylinders 3 and 6. The check engine light comes on to reveal codes 51 and 71. Make of it what you will. I have checked the cap and rotor, only to find that it runs best at 30 BTC. Timing belt is 110,000 miles old, but the check engine only came on after the injectors were replaced. Also worth noting is that the exhaust smells of fuel and it is harder to start when warm. Any help is appreciated.
