your truck will throw a code if you're in california if you use their location for the O2. Its too far from the engine and doesn't get the right temp. I modified mine to be RIGHT at the Y pipe, and It passes smog.

Can you get a pic of this? i'm about to mod my exhaust to get the o2 sensor on there...going with very similar setup as you mak on the exhaust btw.

I think i cut my y pipe shorter than some others, but i have had it running on my truck for about two weeks now and have not thrown any codes at all. Here is a pic at how my y pipe is cut. Its really short, i did this to keep my cat in the stock location and also to keep the O2 sensor as close to stock as possible.

Only difference now is that i had this all welded up because even the band clamps leaked.. waste of 50$ Should have listend to you right off the bat Mak

Hey Mak, were you down on power once you put the stock cat back on or was it more or less the same?

by tolerable do you mean you can hear people in your backseat now?
How much louder than the stock exhaust?

Hmm. Hopefully it would quiet down a bit with a larger muffler. Maybe Duals.

from my son's thread.....
ummm....Joe (my Joe)......just ordered your headers.

now we have to think up a way for us to not get killed by mommy.

I've campaigned for a while about them and how you "needed" them and explained and showed her the crossover pipe and explained about "cooking valves" to which the reply was "uh-huh....".

killer deal $559.42 at our door....new, versus $619.90 @ Summit. the difference was a 10% coupon from EBAY that expires tomorrow at midnight.....otherwise the difference between the 2 places was going to be like $5.

God help us.

I'm about to throw a set of these on so tell me how much louder than stock? I have an extended cab so it may not be as loud as in a runner
