Starts cold but not hot
Hello there. It's been a while and years have passed and now I'm dealing with a start issue.
Mine is a 91 M/T in tropical weather. The engine wouldn't start and the check engine indicator light is dimmed. If the green line that goes into the Cold Start Injector is jumped to ground, the check engine indicator light will recover brightness and the engine will start. The problem is once the engine warms up it won't fire back up...regardless.
My main question or concern is as to the reasons WHY the green line on the CSI has to be jumped and WHY the computer is experiencing a voltage issue as for an additional ground connection/jumper to be required in that particular cable/line in order for the engine to fire up. The issue reported by the guy in Puerto Rico mentions a similar problem but he never mentioned anything about a Check Engine light being involved.
Any ideas will be extremely appreciated. I'm just an enthusiast trying to save a dollar or two. TNXS
