I would say new sensor with gauge, But I'm sure someone on the interwebs has figured out how to tap into existing sensors with an aftermarket gauge and get accurate readings.

So I reworded the knock senso, and light still comes on.
I'm gonna have to tear it down again...
It only comes on with light driving, when getting on it doesn't come on. Makes me think that it's not the circuit, why would the circuit only be bad under light driving?

About the water temps: I would think that with a beefier, high HP they put a cooler thermostat in. This would lower the engine's temperature since the thermostat opens faster. Not an issue really, since it's still plenty hot in there.

I'd start the vehicle, then while you grab the wires under the hood, and any connecting wire, wiggle them. You'll probably need someone to watch the CEL on the dash to see if it comes on. Trace that wire as far back as possible and look for any issues on the jacket or connections.
And, are you sure its a code 52? I have misread code numbers before, ended up chasing my tail.
sorry I don't have any words of wisdom, I'd be upset if I had a new engine like yours and something simple is fouling my good time!

Definitely a code 52. Read it like 4 different times, but I did get pics of the exhaust setup.
They did an awesome jib used the same y-pipe and o2 bung because I didn't want to pay more for them to make custom ones. Had them rout it around the transfer case.

Sorry to hear that bro. I suppose the negative press about these engines is true, they have their issues. But when you get it all figured out I'm sure that engine will be awesome!

That's why there are people who've pulled their hair out working on these and those who've driven hundreds of thousands of clicks without any issues.

Let us know if a new sensor fixed your issues. They are freaking expensive...

Fixed code 52. Tore it down and put toyota sensor And pigtail and it's fixed! So much better. Running premium93 octane and 20 degrees advance. And its running awesome! So much more power it accelerates through all gears no problem! This engine is great!
And I love my exhaust setup.

I hav the thorley headers, with a custom routed down pipe and y. The down pipe on passenger side goes between the transfer case support and the body right next to the tcase. Then turns right and goes into a universal aftermarket cat and a magnaflow muffler.
Alvin muffler in Alvin Texas did an excellent job if anyone reading this is any were near the area.
