3.0 oil cooler
Is this thing worth keeping and if not, how do I cap off the hole in the block? I have had a leak on this for a while and cannot get it to stop. I have changed the o-ring and the gasket under the bolt, still no stopping. Unless I have somehow got the wrong o-ring. What do you guys think?
Thanks,

I would keep the oil cooler, as the 3VZEs run pretty hot. If the oil leakage is a large problem, I would suggest bypassing/plugging the cooler and running an aftermarket unit. Oil coolers weren't added to the engine until its later years, possibly to combat the headgasket issue. In short Toyota put an oil cooler there for a reason, if you are going to render it inoperable, run an aftermarket unit.

I had to replace the several hundred dollar tuna can on my engine in order to not void the Jasper warranty. I imagine an aftermarket unit would be at least as effective and probably more effective at cooling the oil. Strap22 had some aftermarket suggestions for me before I told him that I needed the OEM unit.
I'd keep some form of oil cooler on the engine.
