any fitment issues or rubbing with that size ? do you know what your backspacing is ? did you get about 2 inch gain with the bj spacers ? your tire converted to a 34 inch . break a cv yet wheeling ? nice looking 2nd gen ! ... well just looked at your previouse posts . awnsered most of my questions . looks like 3.75 bs , diff drop so cv are probly ok unless wheeling real hard . nice rig !

Figured I could add my .02 to this thread now.
This is EVERYTHING you need to lift a 2nd gen 4Runner.
1.5" BJ spacers
FJ80 Coils
Trailgear Brake Line
Skyjacker front shocks -SKYH7054
Skyjacker Rear Shocks - SKYH7024
4Crawler 4" Panhard
4Crawler 4" LSPV
Total cost:
~$250 including the 35 dollar rebate on the shocks and the 20% on sale.
Hope this helps... pictures will be posted when the lift is done.

Any leaning problems with one short coil and one long?

Disregard...due to impatience and my lead falling through ill just go with the ome coils...should I still fo with the 4 in panhard drop and 4 in lspv bracket?

Ya you will need those no matter what spring/shock components you use to lift. I skipped on the panhard for a while and my axle was about 1/2" off center.

Yeah definately don't want that off center problem. So the 4" lspv and panhard drop should work without being too long or short? Kinda makes it pain having a weekend to do this. Which is why I'm just confirming befire I order wrong parts.

Going to attemp this lift soon...
Would like to appoligize in advance if this has been previously covered, I have searched and only found bits and pieces.
Gentlemen,
Going to purchase a set of rear FJ80 coils, new rear shocks, Panhard bar with 4" drop bracket kit (4crawler).
Am i forgetting anything?
Also for those who have done this already? What is the most difficult part? I feel like I may be getting in over my head but can't afford labor elsewhere.
Do I need BJ spacers or can I crank the torsion bars to compensate for this?

And a bracket to re-align that plus a bracket to raise the brake proportioning valve (LSPV):

How involved is the installation? Reading off 4crawler looks like I have to do some cutting/trimming....which I'm ok with but feel I may be in over my head! Where offers the best price for the bj spacers? What about a decent rear shock? Not the cheapest, but something adequate being on a budget? Should I also remove away bars if this is my daily driver?

New guy
Hey guys, im not sure how old this thread is, but i saw it and found it slightly helpfull. Although i have some questions. I just recently bought my 1st 4runner. Ive been around them most of my life and decided it would make a great first car for my self. Now that i have it, i dont have a whole lot of money to spend on lift. I have a good friend that said he got his 3" suspension lift for his 1994 runner for around 150-200 bucks. if i can get one for around that price range thats less that 350 bucks, that would be what im going for. Any help?
