I put on OME 901's and found that my shocks are topped out.....just sitting there.

Does anyone know what the stock shock length is and if there are any crossover applications that fit easily?

So after reading this thread and a few articles on 4x4 wire the best way for me to achieve a 2 inch lift is t-bar crank and 80 series coils, everyone seems to go with the Sway-a-way 25mm torsion bar but I can't seem to find a place that sells them, I've checked performance products, performance parts, jc whitney, then I went to swayaways site and checked all there certified retailers and none of them seem to sell them for a 2nd gen 4runner, does anyone know a good online retailer that sells that kinda stuff? I live in B.C, Canada if that helps.

OK I ordered my Landcruiser coils for the rear (2x Left Side since they were a couple dollars cheaper...). So now I want to order a panhard drop bracket and a LPSV bracket from 4Crawler. From what I gather the LC coils generally give a 3" to 4" lift so what is the recommended size of brackets to order...the one for a 3" lift of a 4" lift? Guess what I am asking is, is is better to under or overestimate the lift amount when ordering the brackets?

    blocks for pick-up

hey im goin to put 3 inch blocks on the back of my pickup. do i need to get new shocks 3 inches longer than stock or will the stock length stretch enough for this. also if i cranck the tortion bars and put a inch or 2 longer shock up front will this help the tortion bars lift up the front end?

im sure this mighta been answered before here but i have 95runner 4x4 a/t but id like to fix the rear sag as well right now its sitting on 33's stock no lift id like to either grab the coil spacers in the rear and just toss them on my already saggy springs or grab the fj80's but i hear there a little stiff . .im on a budget so just looking for a little lift . .in the rear . .thanks

go for the 80's but if you do be sure to get spacers for the front or it will be raked quite a bit.

quick question, today i installed the 901's on my rig and now i have a couple issues.

    1. i need longer shocks... as it sits now, the shocks are extended all the way when its on the ground. So how much longer of a shock should i get? (i know i should have just ordered N72 shocks but i got cheap) i would like to stick with the Rancho's if anyone can give me a part number

    2. i'm having a weird vibration around 20-30 miles per hour and pretty much goes away after that. it kinda sounds like if you have mudd tires on and aired down to 15 psi even though i'm running street tires (Michelin LTX M/S) at 38 psi. Did anyone else encounter this problem? Hopefully when i replace the shocks tomorrow it will fix this problem but i wanted to know if anyone else had this problem

Did you get the Pan Hard drop bracket??? if not the rear axle may be shifted to the passenger side a bit. You can snag some shocks here...http://www.wabfab.org/html/products/...dbumpstops.htm

The two could be related. Get your new shocks and see what happens. HUGE thread about balljoint spacers and LC/lift springs and what shocks you need. That aside, the best thing to do IMHO is remove the shocks and cycle the suspension full compression to full droop and take actual measurements of the compressed and extended lengths ... I've been burned by going by the application guide too many times ...

No pan hard bar yet, the axle is shifted to the right a bit, but would that cause it to vibrate a little bit? I need to snag some shocks today cause i'm going on a road trip tomorrow and it's bouncing around like crazy. So how long of a shock should i get with the OME901's?

What I did was went to Advanced auto and told them what I needed and what I was doing and they ordered me some cheap-o shocks. I had to modify the bottom mounts but they work. I'm not sure what they are but I believe they have about 13" of travel.

When you remove the old shocks the back will probably raise a bit more, I think mine came up another 1.5" or 2" when I removed the old shocks after installing my LC coils.

You do need to get that drop bracket.
