feel the same way with anything put in or on my truck. People need to start doing stuff for themselves and learning this stuff instead of holding mommies hand and having her help you with everything. whats wrong with this world

how else do you expect to learn if you just pay people to do it. not to mention there's a lot to be said when you can sit back with that cold beer in your hand and say "I did that"

I got some 4in speakers from Autzone for $10 each. Theyre pretty terrible but they were cheap and at least I have some form of speaker up front now.
New Infinity speakers for the front and back are on my to-do list.

I had the infinity reference 4" in the dash and loved them. never really got the chance to get them real loud before I started my swaps and such. I do have to say my infinity kappa 10" sub is one of the best ive ever heard. Used to have a phoenix gold amp awhile back too
I run the same front speakers. Some of the best I ever used. I bought the 2 yr warrenty (runs out in sept), they are still working fantastic. When I installed my subs I changed the speakers so they are working as tweeters. They don't handle the lows very well but work very very very well in the mids/highs.
But what kinda speaker can you get that pumps and is only 4"

I hear people recommend the 4" Kicker KS400's for good low frequency speakers.
On Crutchfield they say that the Infinity Ref 4" speakers won't fit in the dash of our 2nd gen 4runners but i see people are mounting them in there. hmm I'm wondering if anyone who has the Infinity's in their dash if they had to modify the opening for the speaker at all?

I guess the tweeters on the Infinity Reference 4022i stick out too far so it interferes with the dash. I just got a Pioneer deck with ipod control and ordered me some 4" Pioneer tps0402 mids for the dash. In about a week i'll figure out what i'll do for the back area. Anyone know what size fits about the back window where the cargo light is? Are they 4" too"
