Anybody have suggestions for where I should go for a decent cheap radiator for this baby?

Stealership? Rockauto? One of the many parts places listed in one of the stickies in this subforum?

got 2 radiators(for the 92 truck and 884runner) from JcWhitney.com....both are Spectra.....both were under $100 delivered. cannot swear to their reliability being that they are aluminum core and plastic housing.

whatever the case, that radiator of your's is done.

do it once, do it right......do a complete job. new belts / hoses / radiator / water pump / oil pump / timing cover / timing set / head gasket / bolts and all the little extras that add up.

you guys have no clue how much it means to me when I come across a thread that has MY thread referenced.

if you were to go to my original thread (THREAD "A" in my sig) and painfully read through it, you would see that not only did it take an extraordinary amount of time to do mine because I was a putz and was VERY low on $$$, but because I had never, ever done any sort of mechanical work before. Now, we have a 2nd project (see my son's 4runner build in my sig) that we are currently working on. Kinda a big jump from then to now.

You can do this.

Btw engn bldr is in Portland too...

You don't need to do a "leak down test" on your engine. You just need to get a compression gauge and hook it up the the cylinders one at a time. If you blew a HG one of the cylinders would have less compression than the others.

Good luck!
