22re street rv and 268 cam valve lash
hello i have a 94 4runner 22re, i bought a street rv head from engine builder about a year ago and made the mistake of thinking that the valves came preadjusted, the 4runner has ran fine all this time but pretty noisy. i emailed engnbldr this morning and asked what his recommendation was for valve lash and he said .007 intake and .009 exhaust but didnt say hot or cold, what do you guys think? i just did the lash it runs for about a minute and slowly starts dying so im thinking the lash is to tight now because it didnt do this before?
incase you dont know the street rv head has stainless 1mm oversized valves and i have the torquer 268 cam, i have put maybe 5,000 miles on this motor since install.

Thanks for the reply, I just reread the email and he said hot I just missed it so it looks like I will be redoing them since I did it cold. Also I think I found the problem with the idle, the air duct tube has a split right along the edge of the throttle body causing it to suck unmetered air. It's just weird because the tube has been split since I have owned it, it just now slipped off a little more or something causing the idle issue. I threw some of my hondabond rtv on it to seal it up, I will update this when I'm done
