22re efi choking?
Hey guys so I have a 1988 4runner with a 22re efi 5 speed. At 228k my rod bearings spun and the motor was toast. I had a local shop put a new 22re in and clutch, hoses, belts, and brakes. Before I got the motor rebuilt 1 month before it blew I turned it over and it idiled for about 10 seconds then slowly died. It did that 2 times in a row and then never happened again. Then 1 week ago it did the same thing and I later found out my air flow censor came unplugged. It was no problem just plugged it back in. And for about the last 6 months when im going between 50 to 60mph the motor will almost choke. Its like if you are driving on the highway and let your foot off the gas and put it back on really fast. It like chokes. I was thinking maybe the fuel filter was dirty but it was replaced with my motor which was 4k ago. It doesnt seem to be a big problem and I have been kind of letting it slip for a while but I have a 1k trip in a month so I would like to figure this out. Thanks

I'd start by checking your TPS, there are some tests in the FSM and if you search online here.
