22r vs 5vz which one would be better?

Most of the reason you're not finding very much on the 3.4 for top end parts is because it's not necessary. If you're leaving the engine NA, the heads and cam are already set up for more than enough flow, the powerband is already up there with a peak torque at 3200 rpm. If you're talking about a serious hand built, supercharged, balls to the wall 3.4, then you should be able to talk to your machine shop about porting and polishing your head, or maybe LC Engineering. For the cam, I think I remember hearing about some people sending their stock cams to Crower to be built up and reground.
I think the thing you'll really come up against that'll be an issue is the limitations of the stock ECU. Some years aren't even recommended for the factory Toyota supercharger cause they don't cope as well, so I'm not sure how any of them will do with compression ratio changes, port polish, headers, camshafts, and forced induction all together.

3.4 add supercharger underdrive pulley with watermeth injection= 300+HP.

i've seen another thread with the same truck pulling 300HP at the wheels. his sig said it had watermeth injection can't find that thread but you can see what the 3.4 is capable of without getting expensive internal mods.
or you can go turbo and pump up the boost for even more power.

this is not a turbo it's a supercharger and there is no amount of money or internal modification that can match it imo...

look at TA's supercharged runner video's, you can barely hear the heavenly sound of that BA charger, can't wait to bolt mine on.

listen to my 3.4 link in my sig i don't think you'll notice SC whine with headers and exhaust.

3.4 Swap
After perusing the forums here, I believe this one whole section pretty much answers every question. From what I can see, there are part numbers and all sorts of how-to on the 3.4 swap.

As Donomite said, unless the engine you get needs a rebuild, no need to beef up internals. Check out the google links Black SR5 put up, and also google "5vz camshaft" and look at some of the swaps people have put into the MR2's. Be sure to check out Weasy2k, or Sea2Sky(same person). Don't recall if anyone has asked, what are your goals for this? 4wd torque? 4wd horsepower for mudding? Just a general Toyota hot rod?

I personaly belive its about gears with toyotas not tons of power u put the rite gear set up on 22re itl go over thro anything. If its a 95 its going to be easier to go with the 22re, as for the 3.4 all i can realy say for it is you wont have the headgasket problems u run into with the 22re sometimes

Short block or bare block? Either way, I don't think there's much in the way of upgraded internals. Still believe your best bet is a nicely machined, polished, and maybe chamfered around oil passages if you know where it's beneficial or have a machinist who does, and then a perfectly balanced assembly. Simple port match, maybe polish, and supercharger if you have the means and the computer that can handle it. URD seems to be the authority on upgrading the supercharger with an extra injector, under drive pulley for more boost, etc. Give them a call or email with your wishes/goals and see what they tell you.
You might just be looking for something larger entirely, never driven a S/C 5vz, so I can't for sure say it'll be enough for you.

Short block and I've found forged rods, aluminum pistons, forged crank, supercharger and a lightweight flywheel. The only issues I'm having is the ecu and I'm looking for aluminum heads and comp cams
