2 gen. front door differences?

Is -90 left front door same than -94, will it fit to -94? Toyota EPC gives different part numbers 9008-9107, 9108-9308, 9308-

What are the differences if there is some?

Mine looks this (got some damage to it):

I think the part #'s are different because the later years incorporated a side impact bar. My runner is sporting a 91 and 92 right and left rear passenger doors, 94 and 95 driver and front passenger door and a 90 rear gate and swing arm carrier. the hood is a 90 pickup (modded with a cowl), the roof rack and rear air deflector is a 93, and my roll bar is a 86. Any other questions??

Matti, isn't easier to repair it? I had a dent simillar to that and I repaired it when repaired the rest of the damage I had from a snow accident.

The only bad thing is the plastic trim is 110€!!!

Yeah. The insurance company pays it (not my fault), but I think I take the money and repair it by myself. I´d get the whole car painted with those money. I think it would be easier to change it, if I found used door to it. This black door pays 200 €.

This plastic/rubber? trim is 195 € here! But why should I change it, it´s attached by some two side tape.

A side impact bar? Where is it inside the door?

How about front fenders? They have different part numbers too, but aftermarket parts will fit 90-95?! Thinking about changing them too (little rust).

Yep. 90-91 mirrors are different than 93-95.

Also, in '93, Toyota added internal door beams. *edit: rock sliders are better.

There is no difference in door shape or size. Any year (90-95) will bolt right on.

In the body shop they said me that once the plastic trim has been removed it looses its shape. It has double side tape and an alu trim, this is the part that deforms when you remove it.

Ah! Soon I'm gonna be in Morocco with my truck, wanna come with me?

Just remember two door surf/4runners can use the pickup trucks doors 4 door surf/4runners cannot because the doors are shorter.

You probably could reuse the trim just becareful taking it off, use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive and a razor/putty knife to remove it.
store it flat, when you want to re-attach it try some urethane adhesive, it should never come off then.

i'm still trying to find some one who can give me the measurements to mount a pair of fender turn signals in the stock location. how about it euro-yotatechers?

Cheers Aviator

Thay´s it. There is tube bar inside the door, welded to door. So, I don´t want to loose it. Maybe I fix the original door or buy new one from Toyota (450 €).

I have took this plastic trim half off from rear door when I painted it. It was easy to remove and put back with car window glue. Seems like it never was taken off.

aviator, I've just taken the measuring tape and the camera. Now I must go to work, but ASAP I'll post you some pics.

Ah! I recommend you using some kind of OEM clear turn signals, I'm sure there are in Napa or Autozone.

Thanks Blizzard, I picked up a pair of those hella 2cm square orange ones last time I was back home in holland ['98] I was going to use them on my '87. They look almost like stock, all the after markets I can find seem to need a lot of sheet metal cut out [that I'm too chicken to do haha] the hellas are just a couple of drill holes to mount...
But I do want to get them in as close to stock location as posible so muchos gracias for the measurements and pics
