1st gen 22re manual engine swap to 2nd gen 22re auto
Have an 87 22re manual with a blown motor. I have a low mileage 22re from a 2nd gen with auto trans. Are the harnesses for the engines themselves the same? Meaning after I mate the new engine to my manual can I get away with reusing my ecu?

Swap the sensors, the harness, the manifolds, your flywheel for the donors flexplate, of course the accessories (AC, alternator, power steering pump), and the smog bits. That's all that comes to mind, basically everything that's not the "long block"..
