1994 Toyota pickup project.
Recently bought a mostly nice and clean pickup . It does have some character. Pretty sure it sat in someone’s garage for some time. Anyways, Iam a young guy with good general mechanic skill and will be doing mostly everything to this pickup myself. It is 1994 extended cab V6 3.0 nearly bone stock ( until now )
Egr delete and header install.
I was told by another Toyota owner that I need to get rid of that dumb crossover pipe. Currently Iam in the middle of the egr delete and header install and I would like to know what kind of bolts I need for the headers. Almost all of my studs came out LoL. And the bolts that came with don’t work One question I do have is will headers fit perfect on a stock truck or do I need to have a body lift to create more room. It seems tight. I suppose the muffler shop could heat up and bend the piping downward thus creating more room between firewall and pipes. Iam planning on wrapping the headers with heat wrapping to avoid several problems I’ve read about.
One problem I have had is that the yellow running lights up front don’t work - AT ALL. The bulbs seem fine, I’ve checked the obvious fuses, kinda stumped there . Another thing I noticed is my backup lights don’t work. WHA? are these two things related?! Probably not
I wholeheartedly really like this truck and want to ensure it’s future as my reliable Toyota. Iam sure I will have LOTS of questions further on into this project and I appreciate anyone who bestows their knowledge to me. Thanks!
