1994 4Runner Accessory power issue
Hi, new 4runner owner and I've been lurking ever since I bought that beautiful machine! Making my first post because I'm having some electrical issues that I was hoping to get some help with.
I did a search, but didn't see anything that seemed to address my issue. Basically, the car was sitting for a while because of the covid situation and I had to jump it to get it going recently. Jumping seemed to mess with a bunch of the electronics: reset the radio unit, alarm went off, gauge lights staying on, power locks acting wonky, and no power when the key is in the accessory power position. The locks are acting strange and will continually lock and unlock when the car is off, and the alarm will go off if i shut off the engine with the door closed, but will not if i open the door then turn off the engine. Fuse for the gauge lights is good, but when I pulled the fuse for the gauge lights, the locks no longer would keep unlocking and locking, so I'm not sure what the connection there is? Per the FSM, I was planning on looking at the ignition switch to check the connection at the ACC position.
I'm new to working on cars, but am trying to learn and do stuff myself. It'd be great if someone had an idea of what's wrong and can point my in the right direction.

Welcome! This is an aftermarket alarm system I assume? I would look there first, sounds like the wiring of it is screwing with the locks and IGN switch.

It's a Clifford alarm system, so I'm guessing it's aftermarket?... It came already installed on the 4Runner when I bought it. But I'll take a look into it, thanks!
