Sold the bed, you can have the cab if you want it.
Prep the crap out of them and paint/dye. i used SEM Color coat, purchased at my local auto paint store. You can find them cheaper here http://www.toolsource.com/color-coat...k-p-59023.html
Thanks.
Thanks.

Heat gun, plastic razor blade, 3m adhesive remover and alot of elbow grease. The paint is alittle shinier underneath, but a good wash and wax it wont be noticable.

how is the black paint holding up on your dash and such? Im thinking about doing the same thing. Would you suggest using the same method or would you do things different? what kind of prep did you do? did you just dye it or primer / paint method?

I didnt primer, since i was on a time crunch. The only thing i would do different is, better prep/primer. I would get some of SEM Sand Free prep for the hard plastic. It actually softens the the plastic, so the dye would adhere better. I dont have any problems with it now, but gives you piece of mind. I would have picked it up if the paint store i went to had it. I also would use their vinyl prep/primer too for the dash, again piece of mind, and if the store had it, i would have gotten it.
So far its been holding, I got a few scuffs on the glove box from my GF heels, but i took a damp paper towel and it cleaned right up.
Hope this helps, here some tips from their site: http://semproducts.com/images/Users/...RAP-1_1009.pdf

Thought I would give this an update. The black interior paint/dye is holding up awesome. It looks just as good as it did when i painted it. The only wear is the steering wheel, it is starting to chip a little. Its only chipping because when i climb into my truck, i'm holding my keys in my hand and grabbing the wheel to pull myself in; hence the keys digging into the paint. Plus my steering wheel is worn so its pretty smooth, but hell it lasted for this long.

I've got a baby blue interior in my 4Runner and I'm thinking about dying it black.

On your harness did you end up keeping the 3.0 body harness?
Got some more done today. Since the new cab is a v6 i found some differences. The fuse box to fuse panel (kick panel) harness is different. So i had to swap that out. Luckily the passenger side harness unplugged from the fuse block, so i didnt have to swap the dash harness also. That would have sucked.
Here the 2 harnesses side by side. 22re on left, 3.0 on right. The battery cables were cut on the v6 harness.
22re on bottom
Heres the 2 black plugs that i un plugged from the block. Hopefully the rest of the dash harness is the same.
Does anybody know what these 2 plugs are for? i know that go to 2 vacuum solenoids, but what are they for? Any help will be appreciated. These 2 plugs are the only differences i seen so far. There are located right by the fuse block passenger side.
Here my engine with all teh accessories bundled up, ready for cab to be lifted.
I still have brake lines and fuel lines to disconnect, the we can have lift off.

I believe those are the connectors for the ADD vacuum valves.
