Question 1989 1/2 4runner

So I was told the other day I have the wrong Ignitor coil on my 4runner. He said i have one for a 22re and I need one for a 22r? (I'm making the switch from EFI to Carb/ long story) Can anyone post me some links to some ignitor coils they recommend? Thanks in advance!

Yes the 22re and 22r igniters are very different. I highly recommend buying a used good working unit. Aftermarket are a crap shoot. You will need a 22r distributor as well for the built in vacuum advance.
