1988 pick up, battery, start up, stalling and gauge issues
1988 toyota Pickup, V6, 4x4, 213 000 Miles (340 000 KM)
Iv'e owned this truck for 15 months with minimal issues till 3 weeks ago I drove it across Provence 715 Km (444 Miles) after it was parked for 2 months in a Canadian winter.
My issues started with what i thought was a dead battery, I could drive long distances just fine, but as soon as i turned off my truck, i would need a jump start to get it running again. My battery was covered by warentee (being only 9 months old) and replacing it seemed to fix the issue
After that I noticed my engine seemed weaker on start up, reved low and wouldn't have as much power when i pushed the gas. also My gas gauge, Fuel gauge, and turn signals wernt working.
I drove it like this to Canadian tire, bought some fuses and after replacing the fuse in question (with no effect to my guage and lights issue) my truck puttered to a stall while driving it and will not start again,
lights and heater come on just fine but when i go to turn over, it just cant put the juice out to start it up.
I dont know where to go from here.

Call the exterminator and have it fumigated might have a family of rodents taken up residence.
First thing is to check the voltage on the battery and give it a good charge, followed by a check of the alternator to make sure it is charging correctly. Then start looking for whatever is draining the battery.
Easy stuff is to inspect the fuse box and make sure you didn't push the plugs out the back side.
