Just went outside to see if it would start and idle well again. Now it wont kick off. Itll crank all day long but wont fire off. Just cranks forever. I guess that's what I'll play with tomorrow. Not sure why it would randomly not start now. Guess the best place to check is coil fire. I know its gettin gas. Per the fuel line shooting like crazy when removed.

Alroght. Pouring gas in the butterflies of the carb itll fire off and run til the gas is all gone out of the butterflies. The fuel pump is pumping to the bowl and the bowl has gas in it. What could make it not start from just normally turning it on? Is something stuck in the carb? Trying to get an idea but not 100% sure on anything

Alright so I tinkered with it a little today. The engine was just running yesterday. Had it idle 3 times in a row for probably a combined 10 - 12 minutes. I looked up some common issues on the forums and found that the fuel cut off solenoid could be the culprit. I removed it and checked it out. It had a ring of rust at the end of the threaded portion. Before the tube with the lil pinion that pushes in and out. Anyways I took the one off the 2wd parts truck and check it befor . The pinion moved and it wasnt rusted. So I put it on the truck. Then I went and turned the key. Kicked off, walked around front, forgot to plug the fuel cut off solenoid in. Plugged it in. Went back, started it up, died before I could walk around to the front. Then I had a bottle of some gas, put a lil in the carb, cranked her and got her to run off that for a second. Although roughly. And it died again. I checked the fuel pump again and know it's getting great fuel. I know it's got spark. I know the engine will run. Would my best bet be replacing the carb since that seems to be where my problem sits? The float bowl looks empty. I could try tinkering with that, but I dont want to be troubleshooting all over and still having trippy carb issues. I also dont want to buy a carb and it not be the problem.

Sounds like the floats are stuck. They do that sometimes after sitting for a while. Take a good size screwdriver or the wooden handle of a small hammer and give the carb a few good whacks close to where the fuel line goes into the carb. Dont hit it with the metal end and don't hit it hard enough to crack anything either. As I said just give it a few good whacks with the plastic handle or wooden handle. The floats may break loose.
