Where can I get adjustable torque rod?
Hey folks . . . . I read here from time to time . . . don't post much.
That said, I just installed a full OME suspension on my '85 truck. Now I am trying to fine tune a few issues. One is that the steering wheel is no longer centered. From my reading, it seems that with small lifts (mine ended up at 2.4 inches in the front) that the torque rod can start pushing/pulling on the axle and prevents it from a good stress-free neutral position. Yes, this all ties back to bump steer. That said, I would like to add an adjustable torque rod to let the front axle set at its natural position, then add adjustable drag link to match and center up the steering wheel.
So, I have searched for hours, and all of the adjustable torque rods I can find are available in Australia. I am still waiting on a response from a few sellers there to see if they will ship to the US. Does anyone know of a supplier here in the US for such an item?
And for your viewing pleasure, here are my before and after photos:
Before OME suspension
After OME and new tires.

Okay, found one place that will ship to the US. Ordered one from 4wd1.com. This puppy: Adjustable Torque Rod
Total cost to ship was AUD215, which was $152 in yesterday's dollars.
Other poster also got one shipped to US through these folks: Cozza torque rod
I had mine ordered before I found his link. Too bad they are not available here in the US.
