What else to do when I have the Dash Apart?

I'm getting ready to remove the entire dash in preparation for welding in a new, less rusty floor panel. That's going to be a bear of a job in it's own right, but while I have the Dash completely apart, what else do I want to worry about while I'm in there?

I think I need to clean/check the airduct connections, as it seems like they are all leaky and the air comes out softly or in the wrong places, but what else is good maintenance to check out while I'm in there?

I would consider replacing the heater core it's the same job to take the dash apart. I think other stuff will kinda pop up as your going through the process. Take plenty of photos.
