Trying to lift my buddies truck...

I got some 4 inch leafs for the front from pick and pull and I was wondering what leaf swap can I do for the rear? I've heard of an explorer swap? I new at this toyota stuff so as much help would be very appreciated. Also, for a 4 inch lift do I need a cross over steering kit? Pros and cons would be cool....one more thing, can I combine some soft leafs with rancho 9000's to be able some versatility?

Brett

PS The truck is an 85...

a 63" chevy leaf swap is common (i did it) and if you use the right length shackles you can get the desired amount of lift you want. you can either use the 2wd leafs of the 4wd leafs, the 4wd leafs have one extra leaf. check out pirate4x4.com, they have a writeup on it (no need to post, just look at writeup)

Cross over steering is recommended as it is a major upgrade compared to stock steering. Check out my website for Toyota 4x4 products and let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with something.
