Truck won't start.

Ok, very odd. The truck started up and ran fine 4 days ago. Now it won't do anything.

When you turn the ignition on, I hear a single click and nothing else. Battery is good, connections are good, and all the wires are pluged in. I find it very odd that after sitting for a few days it simply won't start now. I'm in a crappy place to try and compression start it too.

I gotta work for a few hours tommrow so I won't be able to drop the starter tonight, it's gonna have to wait till tommrow. I would like to know if anyone has any ideas about what it could be before I drop it.

Oh, I also tried to jump it, nothing and the battery is charging on a trickle charger for the night. I'm getting good voltage from the battery (about 12 volts according to my voltmeter inside) so I don't think it's a low battery.

I just love trucks heh.

Starter is probably no good as you guessed, get a good pipe or something and smack it while someone is trying to turn it over.

Heh my buddy told me to do that. Then refused to come over here and turn it over while I smack it.

I did smack it a few times then tried to start it and nothing, I guess I'll have to pick him up on the way home from work.

All you need is a screwdriver or wrench to tap it while someone else turns the key. To fix it you need to replace the starter or replace the brushes in your current starter (cheaper)

Starter contacts? I think you can get a contact repair kit at the dealership.
