With a hole in the timing cover I know that water will get into the oil, but, will a little oil get into the water as well. I have a hole in the timing cover, Damn!! I have a small amount of oil in the radiator.

yeah there is a possibility of oil getting into it also. I would change it out asap if you have coolant in your oil. That is absolutely terrible for your engine. I would give these guys a call or email also about parts. They have stuff at amazing prices. I got a new TC chain cover for $25 and yes it is oem. They also sell timing chain guides (steel) and the whole setup for a very good price. They have anything you will need that goes on your engine. I've been in there shop and the guy says, "if you need a TC cover, take a look". There were about 30-40 of them just stacked up. Nice and shiny ones.

The machine shop is your best friend. Talk to them and see if you can get it welded where the chain was wearing on the inside, and weld where the coolant flows through. My boss was kind enough to weld up my cover for free. I just did the timing on my 4runner, wasn't too bad. But it's not like I was doing it for the first time either.

Pull the valve cover, shine a flashlight down there and if you see two bolts sticking out and nothing attached, your guides are broken. You can also drop the oil pan and reach around where the drain plug hole is, more than likely you will find what is left of your guides. Good luck

EDIT: the first timing job I did, I started to drain the oil and nothing but coolant came out for about 15-20 seconds best thing to be done is stop driving it immediately and start repairing it.

agreed ^. If you need help I can help. I just did my entire top end about a week ago and I knew nothing when I started. Everyone on this site help tremendously and now I feel fairly knowledgeable about the 22r, especially after I got it back up and running w/o problems. Just take your time. Lay everything out when you take it off in the order it came off, label things even if you don't think you will need to because you will forget where it went (unless it's like the radiator, lol) and take a lot of pics. I took pictures of where all connections and hoses were. I didn't have anything left over when I was done putting it back together. It does take a lot of time so go ahead and set some time off to the side for this project. pm me or post here if you have any specific questions or want help.
