hello all , just wondering if bfg km2 32x11x15 will be too big for a stock 84 Toyota pickup .. it has 31x10.5x 15 on it already ... thanks for the input everybody .

 

They'll fit if you do the pinch weld mod. You'll be gutless if you don't re-gear.

 

thanks for the info , apparently they don't make bfg km2 in 31x10.5x 15 ... any recommended tire size so I don't have to regear or mod the truck ?

I think you'll be able to squeeze them in there with a little trimming. It'll look good.

SA trucks must have much less clearance because I run 32x11.50 tires on my stock IFS truck, no t-bar crank, no trimming or bashing and no rubbing. And with 32's on stock 4.10's isn't really all that noticable from 31's.

 

I have an '86 and I run 32x11.5 with no problems at all. I run the stock gearing and it drives fine. Honestly, you could run 32's fine. I say go for it and get the extra clearance.

go for the 32s. I had 35 12.50s on a 85 with no life and a whole lot of trimming. I wouldn't worry about the gears everybody blows the whole gear thing out of proportion IMO. I run 35s on 4.10s. Its not fast, but it does ok.

 

i ran 33x12.50 bfg at's on my stock 79 with flat springs like yours. rubbed only at full lock, a rough country 3" lift solved that problem. run em! i have had 32x11.50 on my 88 ifs truck with no rub.

 

a buddy of mine is getting pricing on 32 " If I get a good deal I'll get the 32"

 

Some has done 36s with no lift, just start cutting !

 

buddy of mine has 32x11.5s on his 95 22re. he's doing fine with stock gearing.

 

definitely don't want to cut .... plus it's my daily driver so have to be a little conservative ..
