sr5 dashboard clock

so i got a digital clock out of my bothers 4runner that bolts right onto the dash. looking at it, it has 4 wires on it. im assuming that red is power and black is ground, duh. the other wires are green and white i think. one of them has to be a power to ignition, one has to be constant, one had to be ground. but i have no idea which ones are which and what the 4th wire runs to. anybody know?

Feel around behind the clock opening. All wiring harnesses have a clock plug. It may be taped down to main harness trunk.

if you open up the dash clock, just unclip the sides, it is labeled inside the 4 male connectors.

green wire= dimmer
white wire= ground
red wire= ignition power
black wire= constant power

Good job!
But just for the record, you should avoid using the multiple-choice alligator clip method of testing with anything electronic - this quite frequently releases the magic smoke from it and it never works again.
