so i have to pull my T-case
i noticed a small leak coming out of what i thought was the lower drain plug.
but after draining,replacing and assembly i noticed that its actually the gasket where the back plate of the t-case is located.
not the output shaft seal. im not sure of the name. t-case split seal is what im calling it.
i have a buddy who is going to do the gasket for me.
what i need to know is how to pull the t-case completely
and how to put it back on correctly.
is it as simple as unbolting and removing?
any QUICK help is appreciated

the first one is a 58M download for '85+
Taking about the transfercase is pretty straightforward. I started from the inside by removing the shift boot and remove the 4WD selector
Make sure you use good pliers, that snap ring can fly you will not be able to get the TC off the shaft with out removing the lever
remove the front and rear drive shafts, remove the bolts holding the transfer case to the transmission , there are 8 bolts (don't recall exactly how many) the top ones you might be able to get to through the hole for the selector lever. remove the speedo cable (think it is on the right side of transfer case)
I recommend that you use a rachet strap to support the transmission, I think if the transmission is just hanging there you put too much strain on the motor mounts.
At this point I used my floor jack to support the Transfer case before removing the crossmember (4 bolts-2 each side) with those removed I was able to slowly pull the jack towards the back while lowering the jack slightly. you may need to jog the TC back and forth a little bit. Be very careful!! sometimes they slide out very easily...
You can also support the transfer case if you have two people and remove the crossmember from both the TC and frame at once. I was doing it myself so that is why I used my floor jack,
With my kid getting wrenches for me only took a half an hour or so to have this pile:
Now it is No wheel drive:
have fun and work safe. the TC weigh about 75 pounds or so and if you drop it, it is gonna hurt...

a dual would be awesome but i dont know any parking lots steep enough for those ratios i hate to say it but i retired her from the off road abuse when i put a piston through my hood last year AND my tranny internals turned to powder.
she sees a fair amount of dirt but nothin like the old days
