No luck searching on here so please forgive me if this is in wrong place...on my '85 4x4 DLX P/U the wipers only working slowly. They are moving slowly no matter if I put selector in LOW or High position.
Also when I select Mist it's the same slow movement.
Can/will somebody tell me what to check?
I replaced the Headlight/Turnsignal combination 'stalk' [?] yesterday because of the Low beam's not working. They work fine now.
The Wiper 'stalk'/lever came already on the combination 'stalk'/lever as a unit, along with the Turnsignal/Headlight lever.
The wipers work, mist-low-high, just move very slowly.
All help appreciated.

with out seeing it for sure i would guess after 37's years some of the bushings on the wiper assembly are totally gone. I would pull the vented over at the lower part of the windshield and check the wiper assembly
other possibility is that the wiper motor is tired or lose connections to the motor

 

Thanks for reply...they seemed to have had just one speed before, but were faster...
I'll pull cowl and se what I can see.
